AT&T approves SlingPlayer for iPhone to use 3G

I saw that on DSL Reports today. AT&T is too large a company. The smoke and mirrors act that they are currently using is mainly to appease the FCC in hopes that Net Neutrality goes away.

Does anyone know when this is supposed to take effect on the 3G? I just installed a SlingBox yesterday and my iphone still says it needs Wi-Fi. Is there anything special that needs to be done to get it over the 3G?

Once approved, you will probably need to update the Sling app from the App Store. When you tap on the store app it will let you know if any apps need to be updated.

Remember those rumors last year about Apple not wanting Sling on 3g? We will soon see if those will turn out to be fact.

I would say with the reports, this will be approved with flying colors.
