Did you read the editorial comments in the article from submitters :haha. I especially like the last one about different companies using different transcription standards. It's not over till the fat lady sings.
What's funny is alot of those blu-ray exlusive companies use non-exclusive companies out of the US.. which means movies that area supposed to be exclusive can be purchased on hd-dvd as well..
I wonder if that'll muddle things up for the HD-Wars..
With HD-DVD being non-regional it means there are movies you can buy from Europe on HD-DVD that you can not get here. Doesn't muddle things up -- just continues the status quo for now.
I suspect future movies will have constraints in their contracts limiting or prohibiting publication on HD DVD discs, when they are Blu-ray only in the United States. The flow of HD DVD discs into this country is small, and the Blu-ray studios probably will cut that flow off before it grows.
