I will take the receiver and tv out to the dish in the hot weather, but will not take it outside in the cold and snow. In the heat I will work on the dish tweaking for the absolute strongest signal. If it is too hot, then I will work for a short time, get something to drink and then go back to it.

no way. I do not like the heat/humidity. Too hard on me. I've done this enough I know how to prepare :)

Over 20 years in Minnesota still hasn't prepared me for this subzero, windy stuff. I put up with it, but I'm here for the Spring, early summer, and early fall.

As for me, I prefer late summer, since I did my first installation on the top of a roof at 1am at the end of August. The bugs are almost dead and the temp is perfect.

The cold you can kinda prepare for. The weather dudes don't help. They make it sound like we'll all be blocks of ice if we go outside for 2 minutes.

Now if we could teach people not to be retarded when they drive when we get 3/4" of snow like we did yesterday ;)

We had about a foot of snow today. Part of the highway was closed due to 20-30 cars and trucks in numerous accidents about 20km past where I live. Why do people think they can still speed when you can hardly even see the road? We definitely do not have enough speed enforcement on our highways.

My original answer was "cold" but the past couple times I needed to adjust something I about froze my @$$ off. May I change my answer now? :D
