I liked the first one. It was pretty good for modern horror. I haven't seen VHS 2 yet though.

I liked it. More drama and less action, but he still showed he could kick people's butts. To me it was better than his last few roles playing the "not so good" good guy.

I liked it very much. No brain taxing with it at all, just pure action comedy. In 3D it had some very good scenes.

Only God Forgives

Tough one. I get the movie, especially after thinking about it for a minute, and I imagine watching twice would shed some light if you missed some things. Its a story told with very little dialogue, and you have to make some long distance connections to understand what they wanted you to. Overall I felt it wasnt that good, I mean its "creative", but not that good. The visuals and soundtrack were excellent, but this is no Drive. It's 10 times more vague and out there. While I loved Drive, the people that have mentioned it in the same sentence with this one are nuts.

Its a tough one to discuss, you just gotta see it. I imagine most normal movie goers will hate it.

I watched The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy over the last couple weeks. I owned this set on DVD and I've seen it many times but this was my first time seeing the Blu-ray version of these movies. All three have excellent picture and audio quality. These were Netflix rentals but now I'm keeping my eyes peeled for for a decent price to own the movies. Since I already own the extras on DVD I'd like to buy just the movies if I can find a better price than the 15 disk set. That doesn't seem to exist though.

White House Down

It was OK, a bit long and I actually preferred Olympus Has Fallen. PQ was pretty good and had some nice LFE.

Next will probably be Fright Night 2.
