Why is it that when I post some links it comes up with a title of the linked page and others just show the HTML link?

Examples:

Why is it that when I post some links it comes up with a title of the linked page and others just show the HTML link?

if you have [ url=aaa.com/xxx/yyy/zzz]nice name[ /url]

without the spaces after the [ 's of course. Note that the "nice name" is optional. If you do not give the nice name it just ...s the url.

Thanks for the information. The wierd part is I never put the into either link. The forum software must have done it on there own. I will just manually add it next time.

I've noticed external links usually retrieve the title. Links to threads used to, but now mostly show the URL.
