MLB 2008 Season

I think it's a great story. Last year we had Ankiel as the feel-good story of the year...until we found out he used illegal substances in rehab. So, in many ways we are following this feel-good story in hopes that it will not end in a disappointment as others we have followed.

I truly wish him all the best because he surely has been thru hell.

Anybody else following the Josh Hamilton story in Texas? Former #1 pick, falls into heroin addiction, out of baseball for 3 years, was labeled a "can't miss" prospect. Now he's tearing up the American League, and maybe a triple crown candidate.

Drugee from Cincinnati? Hmmm, that sounds familiar...... ;)

Just kidding. I'm glad to hear he is turning his life around. Good for him.

Phillies are the most lethal lineup in baseball, IMO.

Another double-digit run total...

I hope that stadium hosts an All-Star Game in the future.

It's deserving.

I went on a baseball bus tour last year and made my first trips to Boston, Cooperstown, New York (Yankees), Philly, D.C. and Baltimore. I've also been to Atlanta, Cleveland and Wrigley, and Philly's stadium is far and away the nicest I've ever been to.

They will be back in first place after the Reds sweep the Phillies. :D

Milestone achieved...

Padres, Mariners, Giants, or Mets:

Which team will be the first to fire their manager?

I will go that Padres, Mariners and Giants manager will last longer because lets be honest, nothing was expected of them...except maybe the Padres....but the Mets were SUPPOSED to be the BEST in the National League.

What a pathetic way for the Cubs to end their home winning streak...

losing to the godawful, horrific, terrible, Orioles.

The Cubs sweep and humiliate a decent White Sox team, and they get beaten by the pathetic Orioles.

At least three people in Baltimore will celebrate this...

They have THAT many NON-Corporate fans??!!

Following their win tonight, my Red Sox have reached their official halfway (81 games) point. They sit at 49-32, which of course projects to 98-64. I should be excited, right? Well, I can't put my finger on it, but somethings missing. I remember feeling the same way at different points last year......and they proceeded to win the World Series. This year just feels different to me. I hope I'm wrong, we shall see.
