And the Marlins are not awful...they are young...big difference.

I expect the Marlins to do pretty well this year ....

The may even battle to make .500 this year or possibly slightly over .

That was my point exactly. There are a lot of unexpected stats, records and happenings so far 2 weeks into the season. Now if after 40 games the Fish are still in 1st place, Detroit is still dead last and Cy Young winner CC Sabathia is still winless and maintains a +11.57ERA, then we can talk.

Sparky Anderson always pointed to the 40 game mark.
He said that the 40 game mark will tell you what type of team you've got.

Yankees were 4 games under .500 and ended up in second place at seasons end, 2 GB and with 96 wins .....

I would be very happy with 96 wins for the Tigers this year

Between job, backhaul posting and the schedule, there's not much time for commenting. I do watch most games either online at work or at home on satellite. I know my Angels need starting pitching even with Lackey on the DL and he comes back. Saunders has been lucky. Moseley dude just stinks. One pitch wonder that kid.
