One decent thing about Michigan and Rich-Rod is that with his installation of the Option-Offense, the Buckeyes will get some needed practice against that style once each year during the last game of the regular season.

Hint: The Option is the type of Offense that most SEC teams use. Conclusion: The Buckeyes will learn to defend the Option and that will in return prove beneficial if we are pitted against another SEC team in the Title Game.
 
Actually, MICHIGAN will be using a "spread" offense, with the emphasis on running instead of throwing. WVU actually threw less than Michigan did. If you don't beat MICHIGAN, you won't have to worry about another butt-kickin' by the SEC.:D

If Ohio State makes it back, don't count on another SEC opponent.

That conference will beat itself up to the point where there won't be an undefeated or one loss team.

The Buckeyes, if they make it to Miami on January 8, will likely play this team instead:

A few things that jump out at me:

A bowl game in Washington DC? Finally, that stadium gets to see REAL sports teams.

The Cotton Bowl is on the 2nd instead of the 1st. Great! I am a late sleeper, so I usually miss the first quarter.

Why is there no game on the 4th? NFL Playoffs?

And again, you're making an assumption. You don't know for that sure, nobody knows that for sure, and nobody ever will know that for sure. All of the "this team would suck in this conference" talk is ridiculous because there's no way it can be proven or ever will be proven.

It's no dumber than the Motor City Bowl or the Independence Bowl. Hence why bowl games are stupid.

Which is what makes the SEC such a great conference, that it does have all those great teams that can beat each other up. I prefer that better than a conference that only has 1 or 2 good teams, that go undefeated soley because their conference has no competition.
 
USC Has an Itch!!!!

It's not as serious as, say, starting quarterback Mark Sanchez's dislocated kneecap, but the USC Trojans are suffering a new rash of injuries.

Emphasis on rash.........


According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, as much as 25% of the team has been affected by a run of tinea cruris, known more colloquially as "jock itch."

Head coach Pete Carroll told the Times he'd never seen anything like the current outbreak and pointed a finger at new compression shorts the team has been wearing underneath their football pants.

"We've had to adjust to some new equipment that we're wearing that didn't work out right," Carroll said. "It's funny how that happened."

You'll forgive tailback Joe McKnight and wide receiver Travon Patterson if they aren't laughing. Both were unable to practice Wednesday because of the severity of the irritation.

"It burns," Patterson said.

"Sometimes they can't walk," said tailback Stafon Johnson. "I don't know what it is, but I'm staying away from it."
