Well still no updates from our ISP. But the site is zooming along nicely now.

As I said before I have a feeling the ultimate problem was at the data center.

It is my guess that while we are advertised as having NVME storage, that the storage really is external and not in the server itself. At my work all of our servers storage is external like this as well.

WIth that said... I am going to bed in a few. But I made zero changes to anything. So I am happy it is working... but I want it to work like this all the time.

Ok got a note from the ISP that they finished moving us over to a new server at about 10:45 last night.

I am seeing MUCH better hard drive speeds of 542 MB/s which is better than the 80 MB/s (and slower) I was seeing yesterday.

One thing I did notice when searching for answers yesterday is our database is now on MariaDB and not MySQL, and looking at the config, the database server has not been optimized at all, its just a generic my.cnf file. So I may able to get some more speed there. Now to learn about optimizing MariaDB.

I don't think they actually moved us off the old one the first time as our VNC login didn't change. I think they just fixed the issue at the data center.

But this time our VNC login changed and I saw the server monitoring report things down when they said they were moving it last night.
