Galavision HD would be awesome if they did not not airing CMLL last month, hopefully they start airing CMLL again, even if its back at 3am. Galavision use to air AAA wrestling as well but pulled them when AAA said they would not be using HD cameras yet

RUMOR ALERT!

This is just a rumor so please take it as such until you see these channels in your own DIRECTV Guide...

I am hearing DIRECTV is getting ready to launch 3 new HD channels plus a new HD PPV Preview channel.

The 3 channels that are RUMORED to be coming SOON to DIRECTV are as follows:

Playboy HD
Galavision HD
and QVC HD.

And there you have it... another SatelliteGuys RUMOR.

It will be interesting to see if this one pans out.

I see other forums are asking what this rumor is, please keep this rumor here in the Pub as a Pub Members perk. I will post this publicly in a few days... Look out as there will soon be a new leader in DIRECTV info...

Meh, I'd rather have HSN HD than QVC HD.

Playboy HD? Heh, I wonder if that will make Coinmaster switch back over from DishNet.

I agree with your argument but what's done is done and they're still not doing it.

True. Extra bandwidth will come from new satellites and new encoders. Not by taking up old recievers.
Extra bandwidth will be used for 4K.

4K is the future but it will be a while.

Ovation, Oxygen, We, Sundance, the other Encore channels that are available in HD, the SD west coast feeds - all seem like better appeal than QVC! (Epix, Pac12, too!)

I don't want to be "that guy" here (I know, I just was) - but we should be thankful to have Directv. I saw a friend's HD lineup from his local cable yesterday. I kid you not, this is the extent of the HD availability (the only channel they have that we don't in HD is RFDTV .. and CSN NW, but we won't go there...):

Channels that need to be in HD:

ALL THE ENCORE'S and any other SD feed only premiums (Sundance), I mean if you pay a premium price for a channel it should be HD.
