Read the next post. Its being caused by the updated Google Analytics Plugin.

Is the BB Edit Mode gone for good? I used to click on the 3 Dots by the Preview Post button which used to bring up the Floppy icon (Save/Delete) and the Edit Mode which exposed all the [ ] codes to fix some formatting issues I would see from time to time. Now, those brackets are gone and have been for a week or two.

Scott Greczkowski, have you seen anything about this issue? This is on my iPad Air M2 with iPadOS 18.3.1:

I checked and a different set of icons are there on my iPhone 13, also running iOS 18.3.1:

The "[ ]" BBCode Edit icon is there, along with the Clear Formatting icon.

edit: Well, I tried zapping all stored website data (a.k.a., "Tossed my Cookies") and while it changed the appearance slightly after I logged back in to this site, it still didn't bring back the "[ ]" icon…

As mentioned a few weeks ago, this is due to the updated editor.

But with that said I can edit the menu, so I will take a look later. What is show is based on the size of your screen. (There are three different sizes for those menus based on your screen size reported by the device.)

I tried increasing and decreasing the Font Size in Safari, and that basically moves some icons from the hamburger dots to the menu bar. But the "[ ]" still doesn't show up.

Font size does not have anything to do with it. Its what your browser reports as your screen size back to the forum.

I think I got it. Let me know. Here is what the settings look like.

Huh? I enlarged the Font to 125% and refreshed. Now it's showing up!

I have the 11" iPad Air with the M2 processor. Here are the display specifications form Apple's site:

edit: And, I should add I have the orientation locked in the Portrait mode. I just tried unlocking the orientation, rotated it to Landscape, refreshed the screen, and there was the BBCode Editor icon on the toolbar. So, at least I have a kludge I can use to work around this limitation until it gets fixed.

I just received an update to our Analytics add in which should fix the strange date / time issues some folks were seeing from time to time. (I disabled the add in the other day until we got this fix, it is now reenabled.)

Well, that was unique! I was reading the Musk thread in the EV Subform and I noticed that the last post didn't say "A moment ago" or "27 minutes ago" or "Today at 10:20 AM", but instead said "later_at_x". I kick myself for not taking a screenshot.

When I scrolled back, all the posts had the same "later_at_x" timestamp. I refreshed the page and everything had the correct timestamps.

That happened to me as well on February 22, 2025 around 3:03PM PT GMT -8, it said something like 10 minutes later but corrected itself when I refreshed. In my case, it was only for my comment and not for the other posts in the thread, the later were all correct.
