I think Tivo wants to push the Roamio OTA along with the Tivo Stream to the Aereo customers, but two problems are the customers still need to be able to receive a reliable OTA signal and the Tivo stream only works over wifi.
I have grown to like the Tivo, what with having Netflix, VUDU and Amazon apps built in, although I rarely use them. I have authorized most of my blurays so they show up in Vudu now and I occasionally will do a month of Netflix here and there. One box that can do most things is nice. I also like using pytivo to push my own mp4 files to the Tivo.
My stepmom likes the Tivo stream they bought for the Roamio I gave them as she likes to watch General Hospital and The Price is Right on her ipad, but for me I would mainly use it when I'm at kids football or baseball games without wifi and want to catch up on college or NFL games.
