My favorite and I haven't watched it yet this year. Need to watch it this week.I admit it: Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, and great Irving Berlin songs.
Know it was made for TV, but wish they'd have done it 16:9, or had done it on 35mm film...The Shadow Riders - (made for tv) 1982 … should have left YouTube![]()
In 1982, all feature-length movies were shot on film. Whether or not a "master" is still available is a different question.Know it was made for TV, but wish they'd have done it 16:9, or had done it on 35mm film...
Wonder if the master could be hiding in that limestone cave in Kansas City where Hollywood stores films? Might be there, but no one wants to put up the money to do another transfer? In 1982, all feature-length movies were shot on film. Whether or not a "master" is still available is a different question.
This is the most likely scenario. The ratings are probably good enough to warrant it.Might be there, but no one wants to put up the money to do another transfer?
Yeah, the whole pan-and-scan thing was really obnoxious and was really obvious (and annoying) when they did it when HD first started showing up. I wouldn't want to see Shadow Riders get that treatment, so pillarboxed HD is likely the best we're ever going to see...This is the most likely scenario. The Tubi version of the movie is HD but it is OAR. Panning and scanning 4:3 made-for-TV action films is often a fool's errand as they were designed uniquely around the small screen where shots are typically more close-up. They often turn out to be too "in your face" when converted.
