Wife gets it first hand!! (Voom Fixed)
See Problem with Voom channels
Well Monday came and the tech shows up, unfortunately I had to work but my wife was home.
The technician came around one o'clock, a few minutes pass and she calls me to let me know. (I was already worried about this part because she was there alone and does'nt know anything about this stuff.) A few minutes later she is calling me again saying that he isnt doing much. "It looks like he doesn't know anything" she says. So I answer a few questions for him that she is relaying to me on the phone. An hour passes and all he did was talk to Voom on the phone, didn't go on the roof to test the dish, didn't go into the attic to check cables, I think all he did was reset the boxes. When he was done we ended up with the Va-Va-Voom package for 3 STB's and still blank channels... So I said ok that will do until they fix it.
Tuesday (today); So she is home this week and one of the reasons we got Voom was because of the SOAP Net channel
. Now I have a reason to get HD
, Well she goes to watch her soaps and BAM!! no channel, she calls me saying...Blah Blah.. I say call them.
30 Minutes later..............cell rings...
OMG they charged our CC $1800 WTF!!! now I'm pissed, she's pissed, SOAP Net quit working. She calls Voom and the tech place that came out yesterday and says, "Nothing works your tech didn't do anything", lady on phone admits tech wasn't qualified for the service call. We'll schedule another tech out there. Meanwhile wife has Voom billing on another line fixing error. Then Voom says we'll get a tech scheduled out there and my wife says, "If you don't get a tech out here this week, I want all our boxes taken out!!!"
Certified Technician tomorrow Afternoon (Wednesday Confirmed), Billing Fixed, First Month/No Charge
I love it!
I still don't think the tech can fix it if its in VOOM's equipment but at least the tech can verify that. Maybe do some conclusive testing.
Get home from work and nothing works but local OTA w/HD, All/Most Voom HD package all "Black Channels" "No Signal".
We'll see what happens tomorrow!!
