2010 NCAA Football Season

Thanks for some sense. A Dallas school in the Big East makes about as much sense as the University of Denver in the SEC. Increase the conference rep in Hockey (football) while doing nothing for the major sport of the conference, football (basketball).:D

OK einstein - how many mountains around Ft Worth? How "west" is it?

This whole naming thing is nonsense. The Big 10 has 11 teams, soon to be 12. The Big 12 is about to go to 10. The Pac10 has multiple teams in Arizona. Pfffffft.

How good is TCU's basketball program? How many Big East schools are west of the Mississippi? What Conference headquarters are in Dallas? Hell, Texicans don't even speak the same language as the Big East. Maybe it's for exposure on ESPN. When Nebraska opted for the Big 10 and Colorado for the Pac 10, it was mentioned that it would make the Big 12 an even stronger basketball conference, likewise in basketball will be hurt in the PAC and Big 10X2:D Mountains in
Texas are about 300 miles west of the Dallas area, that is a next door neighbor to a Texican.:D

The tallest mountain East of the Mississippi is about two grand short of the tallest mountain in Texas (and no the Big East didn't take TCU for its skiing team).:D

Must-see games this weekend:

3:30 PM Oregon-Oregon State ABC
4:00 PM Auburn-South Carolina CBS (SEC championship game)
7:45 PM Florida State-Virginia Tech ESPN (ACC championship game)
8:00 PM Nebraska-Oklahoma ABC (Big 12 championship game)

Enjoy!

Anyone else watch the AZ ASU game last night? The 1st half was pretty bad, the offenses both were, for the most part miserable, but the punting game was downright atrocious. ASU punted for 8 (yes, eight) whole yards, only to be followed up with a punt by AZ that was good for a whopping net of 0 (yes, zero). Had to agree with the clown from ESPN that at least the next punts didn't trend and go backwards. From there, the game got much better. The ASU QB quit looking like he was a deer in the headlights and by the end of the game, both teams looked pretty good. The game went into 2 OTs before the kicker for AZ blew an extra point and AZU won the game. Turned out to be one of the better rivalry games of the year, was like the old OSU Michigan games back when UM had a coach. :)
