I wiped a 320 gig drive with last seasons Cowboy games in HD for more room last night... HDNMV and the Max's alone are filling my HDD's up.

It's a feature that you have to enable for your household (all 622/722 DVRs on your account) by calling Dish and they charge you an one-time fee of $39.99.

Then obtain any External USB-2.0 Hard Drive to use exclusively with your Dish receivers (between 80gb and 750gb in size), and plug it into the USB jack on the back or front, and it will recognize and reformat it (losing everything previously on the drive).

Then you can copy recordings to the drive, and watch them through your Dish receiver from the external drive.

You cannot watch any of it without a 622 or 722 (i.e. they won't play on a PC).

PS Always add a couple of minutes early for anything on MHD - all Viacom channels run wildly early and late. (Usually films on MHD have music videos at the end, so adding time at the end is less criticial - but can be more so for other sorts of programs.)
